In this brief episode, I keep with the recent theme of discussing “the basics” to spiritual awakening and progression. I talk about the basic quality of acceptance, known as the first law of Spirit. I include a quote from one of my favorite Walt Whitman poems, “To Him That Was Crucified”, and also a quote from John-Roger’s book “The Tao of Spirit”

Nat: Hi and welcome to transcend with nat. This is Nat. I’m your host. And keeping in line with the last episode where we got back to basics. I’m going to talk today, it will probably be a short episode, but I just want to discuss one of the primary spiritual laws, which is acceptance. J-R John-Roger, my teacher called it the first law of Spirit. And it is one of the primary aspects if you’re working on awakening yourself, that you will be needing to move more into, in your life, in your awareness and your consciousness. And in acceptance. We’re not talking about belief, we’re just talking about accepting, acknowledging, Continue reading “Episode 42: Acceptance”
In this episode, I’m getting back to the basics, and discussing the key truths which are the basis for all of the techniques and concepts we discuss on the show. I tell a story from my time with J-R, and sprinkle in some quotes from Kahlil Gibran, the Bible and Seneca.
I’m going to start putting up the transcripts of the podcasts, including the interviews. If anyone wants to help me double check the automatic transcription software for any of the episodes before I put them up, please let me know. There’s a lot of words in 40 episodes!!!
Here is the transcript for this one:
EPIDSODE 41 The Basics – Transcript
Hi and welcome to Transcend with Nat. This is Nat. I’m your host today and this is the 41st episode. We’ve been going for over 40 now. So thank you to all the listeners out there, all of you who listened, who write in. , it’s really nice to hear from you. And, in case you’re new, you can always go to my website, transcend.online and there’s a contact page there and you can get ahold of me that way. Anyway, I thought just since we’ve been going for awhile now, I had the inspiration to discuss with you what this is all based on. All of these spiritual tools and techniques and things that we bring forward here , and even the purpose and the interviews and everything that this is based on, some key foundational principles that I would just like to share with you since I don’t think we’ve really tapped into that level and, discussed them before.
So the first thing is Continue reading “Episode 41: The Basics”
In this episode, I use excerpts from John-Roger’s seminar Accomplishment vs Success (available at msia.org). I talk about the excerpts and my own stories with John-Roger. Like how the seminar titles were chosen, and also how J-R personally taught me to overcome negative emotions such as depression by using one of the tools from the seminar.
In this episode, I tell some stories about my time with my spiritual teacher, John-Roger, and how he demonstrated to me what holding a Light Consciousness can do while working with and listening to others.
In this episode, recorded in Paris, I discuss how I dealt with being emotionally and mentally out of balance on my trip. We all sometimes go through periods where the inner environment seems to go haywire, where we just feel out of sorts inside, when we are “off our game” or not “in the zone.” I talk about that experience, and how I approached it.
In this episode, I start the new year by discussing the questions I asks myself to gain a greater perspective in my life and business.
Per a request, I also look at the effects on the consciousness of using substances popular today among many spiritual seekers and groups such as the “plant based medicine” ayahuasca, microdosing LSD, and marijuana.
In this episode, I go over some basic principles of orienting one’s life towards a spiritual focus, and discuss how we make those practically applicable in our everyday life.
I recorded this episode shortly after the fires in So Cal. I talk about the fires and what spiritual and practical resources I used, including the MSIA Light List (available at msia.org/prayer-list) and a great emergency preparedness bag by Uncharted Supply Co (available here unchartedsupplyco.com). I also share about the aspect of my work with John-Roger that taught me how to be prepared for adverse events.
In this episode, recorded while driving across Texas, I talk about the business lessons I learned, and continue to learn, from my time working with my spiritual teacher, John-Roger. I talk about my early days working for J-R, and I use an excerpt from John-Roger’s seminar titled Sharings with J-R from Living in Grace Retreat (available at msia.org).
In the first of these two episodes, released simultaneously, Nat discusses the things he does when he is feeling out of balance inside of himself. How he views these types of karmic situations and the tools he uses to get above the karma, and get clear inside.
One of those tools is doing the guided mediation by John-Roger (in Episode 29), the Luxor Meditation for Peace & Harmony. This meditation was recorded in the outdoor courtyard at ancient Luxor Temple in Egypt. It is designed to awaken and expand your awareness of the spiritual dimensions inside you. Join John-Roger and 150 peace pilgrims as they chant the Hu tone. Allow the sacred vibrations to resonate, creating balance, healing, and peace. The meditation is available for purchase at msia.org
