Episode 36: Dealing with Inner Disturbance

In this episode, recorded in Paris, I discuss how I dealt with being emotionally and mentally out of balance on my trip. We all sometimes go through periods where the inner environment seems to go haywire, where we just feel out of sorts inside, when we are “off our game” or not “in the zone.” I talk about that experience, and how I approached it.

Episode 32 Light List & Disaster Preparation

I recorded this episode shortly after the fires in So Cal.  I talk about the fires and what spiritual and practical resources I used, including the MSIA Light List (available at msia.org/prayer-list) and a great emergency preparedness bag by Uncharted Supply Co (available here unchartedsupplyco.com). I also share about the aspect of my work with John-Roger that taught me how to be prepared for adverse events.

Episode 31: A Spiritual Look At Business

In this episode, recorded while driving across Texas, I talk about the business lessons I learned, and continue to learn, from my time working with my spiritual teacher, John-Roger. I talk about my early days working for J-R, and I use an excerpt from John-Roger’s seminar titled Sharings with J-R from Living in Grace Retreat (available at msia.org).

Episode 27: Success & Wealth

In this episode, recorded in Paris France, I discuss the concepts of wealth, success, materiality & spirituality. I use my own experiences from my business, including being in Paris for fashion week, to ground the concepts in real life experiences. I share a personal exchange with John-Roger about wealth, as well as an excerpt from the seminar Depth of Fear or Height of Courage (available at msia.org).

And as promised….here is the Zoolander photo of me and J-R doing our best Blue Steel & Magnum pose in honor of my doing Paris fashion week 🙂

Episode 24: Grief

This episode is for those of you who are dealing with the loss of a loved one (or those of you who are helping someone who is grieving).

I share some of my experiences with grieving and what helped me. I then go through and discuss the 15 “lamps on the path” from the booklet Healing Grief by Amy Hillyard Jensen.

After recording this, a seminar popped up in my J-R playlist (coincidentally? I think not) where he was talking about grieving his mother. It is from the seminar ProsperityHow Big Are You Thinking? by John-Roger, available at msia.org

I’m posting the clip below…so here’s J-R on Grief

Episode 21: Discouraged to Courage

If you are dealing with discouragement, this episode is for you.
I will show you how I work to get over discouragement. I base the process on John-Roger’s 10 Factors of Discouragement from the seminar Discovering Courage in Discouragement . I combine J-R’s factors, my questions and the technique of the inner council I shared in Episode 19.

Below is the reference for the two factors, and the questions, that I talk about in the episode.

If you have any questions or areas you would like me to look at in an episode please let me know….you can reach me via my contact page.

Factor of Discouragement #1

WHAT ARE WE LIVING FOR? WHAT IS THE POINT?
  • The point is to grow (spiritually, mentally, financially etc)
  • We grow by being of service to others
  • Solution to Courage: Service
Questions:
  1. How can I be more of service in my life?
  2. What can I do in my life to help someone else (this could be helping the needy or doing something for a friend or family)?
  3. What’s the next step I can take to do that?
  4. Do it

Factor of Discouragement #6

CRITICISM
  • “I can’t seem to do anything right”
  • “No matter what I do, I can’t please you”
  • Underneath criticism is a knowing inside of us of perfection, and we want others to be perfect (and ourselves!)
  • Solution to Courage: Look for the lesson in the criticism, using the criticism to your advantage
Questions:
  1. What is the criticism (from others or myself) that has until now caused me to go into feelings of discouragement?
  2. Is there any truth behind the criticism?
  3. If I could use that information to my advantage, what would that look like?
  4. What is a positive step I can take in that direction right now?
