In this interview with John Morton, we discuss topics from the coronavirus, transcending fear, the importance of attitude, and how John handles challenging situations in his own life. John is the Spiritual Director of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness, Chancellor of University of Santa Monica, board member of Insight Seminars as well as an author.
Here is John’s blessing from the episode:
“Dear Lord, we welcome Your presence in all the dimensions, especially those that come from the highest consciousness and the highest good. That each one of us is tuned in a very personal way to the divine nature, to our inherently good nature, and we always have the opportunity to let go, which is a way of releasing and trusting that any negativity that is upon us, or we in some way have perpetrated and allowed, can be released, and released at the highest rate, which can be here and now completely.
So we come into the blessing of knowing all things serve good, and have our entire consciousness aligned and attuned so we are maximizing the greatest good, and releasing ourselves from unnecessary choices and whatever we have created in the negative form. That there is mercy, there’s grace, there’s loving that joins us openly, willingly because we have asked. So it’s just a simple process of asking for the greatest blessings, maybe in this moment that just becomes singular. The consciousness of one blessing. One thing in particular that our awareness is upon right now as the blessing. Perhaps it’s simply breathing in and breathing out and understanding that that is being done in some way beyond what we control. So the breath is a gift, a holy gift, it comes into our heart in the core of our being, and it comes to all, regardless of what we’ve done or created, God loves all of its creation. This is the blessing. Baruch Bashan”
In this episode, I discuss a higher look at Manifestation and also share an excerpt from John-Roger that was an inspiration for me in designing a short workshop type presentation I’ll be doing this weekend (from J-R’s seminar Cutting Materialistic Attachments & Opening Your Spirit available at MSIA.org). At the end, I share another excerpt from the same seminar on caring for loved ones and friends at the end of their lives.
I am excited to have been invited do a presentation/guided meditation at a Deep Healing Retreat this weekend! I’m going to be doing my part Saturday afternoon 5/25 in Topanga. You can sign up here or contact me if you need more info.
I recorded this episode shortly after the fires in So Cal. I talk about the fires and what spiritual and practical resources I used, including the MSIA Light List (available at msia.org/prayer-list) and a great emergency preparedness bag by Uncharted Supply Co (available here unchartedsupplyco.com). I also share about the aspect of my work with John-Roger that taught me how to be prepared for adverse events.
This episode is for those of you who are dealing with the loss of a loved one (or those of you who are helping someone who is grieving).
I share some of my experiences with grieving and what helped me. I then go through and discuss the 15 “lamps on the path” from the booklet Healing Grief by Amy Hillyard Jensen.
After recording this, a seminar popped up in my J-R playlist (coincidentally? I think not) where he was talking about grieving his mother. It is from the seminar Prosperity – How Big Are You Thinking? by John-Roger, available at msia.org
I’m posting the clip below…so here’s J-R on Grief
In this episode, I interview my friend Nick Segal about his challenges and successes on his journey to creating a very successful business, and how those experiences shaped the philosophy of his forthcoming book: “On Your Terms: Discovering a More Joyful & Purpose-Filled Life Through Value Conscious Negotiating”
